About Business Coach

Business Coach

Mom. Wife. Business Coach. Educator. Life-long learner. Photographer. Traveler. Yogi.

Hello! I’m so happy I’ve sparked your interest in getting to know me and why I do what I do. Life has many roadblocks, and deciding how to overcome them is up to you to keep moving forward.

My story

When my children were old enough for me to go back to work, I was elated to resume my on-hold career. I looked forward to climbing the corporate ladder and landed the perfect opportunity with benefits, including tuition reimbursement – which I was most excited about since it’s always been my goal to return to school. I quickly enrolled in a graduate program and started applying all the concepts and strategies I was learning to my job.

The problem: my manager became threatened. I worked for over two years, putting my all into my position, and she became a frenemy, setting me up for failure and the chopping block.

So, there I was, in the middle of my master’s program, and excited to be closer to reaching my goal. Suddenly, I was left without a job and hugely disappointed in corporate America. Probably not a surprise to many. But most importantly, I had a manager who chose not to believe in me for fear of losing her job. Lesson learned.

In the meantime, I juggled working full-time, raising two children, being a wife, attending graduate school, and running an online Virtual Marketing Assistant business. I needed to work to help support my family. My only choice was to quit graduate school and get another job. But, getting another job meant a longer commute, paying more for after-school childcare, missing my children’s events, and reducing family time.

A defining moment

Though my job situation left me frustrated and with a huge decision to make, I was confronted with an a-ha moment and realized that it was the best thing that had happened to me.

I believed in myself. I had enough experience, skills, and education to do it independently. I finished grad school, rebranded my VA business to Business Coaching Studio, and became a business coach.

Three key things that helped me accomplish more

  1. Setting goals and creating an action plan – what helped me reach my goals was a solid action plan.
  2. Balancing my business with my lifestyle – it’s important to balance your time to take care of the things that matter the most and keep your sanity.
  3. Identifying my ideal client and target market – I made my business profitable by creating a marketing plan that helped me reach my target market.

A balanced life and a business that aligns with your lifestyle will create a path to success and help you earn the income you deserve.

On the personal side

I live in Pennsylvania, where I share my life with my husband, daughter, and son. Besides running my coaching business, I give back to the community by teaching Business and Spanish courses at my local community college.

When not coaching or teaching, I’m on active family duty, traveling, enjoying nature through my camera lens, and connecting with my inner self by practicing Yoga.

I’m a Friends fan, I love my coffee in the mornings and wine at night!

If my story resonates with you, I would love to hear yours! If you want to work with me to design a business that works for you, book a complimentary Strategic Coaching Call to discuss how I may help you create a business that supports your lifestyle.

Best,

Ingrid
